Eric Marquez (b. 1988, LA, CA, U.S.A.) is an artist, designer, and art director interested in what remains when the polish wears off. Design taught him discipline-systems, restraint, knowing when to stop. Art became the place to forget all that. To misbehave. Shaped by Los Angeles, skateboarding, the ocean, inherited traditions, bad decisions, and a decade betweeen Gothenburg and Copenhagen, his work lives somewhere between order and instinct. He is interested in who we become when things fall apart and the stubborn, almost supernatural instinct to get back up and greet whatever comes next.
